The family-managed Gran Sol is one of San Antonio's favourite, modestly priced hotels,
it lies in a quieter corner of the resort just a short walk away from the small sandy  cove of  Cala Des Mora beach and a short stroll to the beach of Cala Gracio, or in the other direction brings you to the resort of San Antonio with the beach – sunset strip and all the facilities the lively resort has to offer.
The hotel was totally renovated in 2007, and is full of all the modern conveniences, air conditioning, Sat TV, hairdryer, refrigerated mini bar (supplement), digital safety deposit boxes, direct dial telephone full bathroom and a balcony. The hotel has a large swimming pool with ample terraces and sun loungers and shades, and a pretty garden for the serious sunbather. Friendly waiters serve cool drinks and snacks from the poolside bar, if you are feeling energetic there is a pool table, table tennis etc.
Inside is a further bar serving drinks and snacks, live entertainment is offered twice per week. The restaurant serves buffet type meals. During the high season July and August this hotel is very popular with the younger visitor, during the rest of the year it attracts, young, old, singles, and groups of friends.
