Ferries
While in Ibiza, you can never be away from water for long. And lying on
the Mediterranean, the boats and ferries are a vital part of the
island. Boats and ferries are widely used for internal and
international travels across the sea. Whether you plan to reach Ibiza
by ferry or take ferries to travel around, it is an interesting option.
It is a lesser used mode of transport but offers an opportunity to
explore the island and have a look at it from a different angle.
The three major port towns
of Ibiza are well connected by the ferry services. There are ferries
running between Ibiza town, San Antonio and Santa Eularia. The nearby
beaches also can be reached by a ferry. It is advised that you try this
option at least once. These ferries depart from the Passeig Maritim
area in Ibiza. After midnight till morning three, there are ferries
running from Passeig Maritim to the nightclub El Divino. These ferry
trips become even more frequent during the summer which is the peak
time for tourist visit. The closest mainland port is Denia.
The ferries can be taken
to reach the nearby beaches and neighboring areas like Formentera.
These short trips are reasonably priced.
From larger port towns also ferry services are provided to reach Ibiza.
Again, these services increase in number during summer. Towns like
Barcelona, Valencia and Alicante can be reached by the ferries.
It is better that these ferry services are booked in advance. All
leading Ibiza ferry operators offer a variety of Ibiza ferries.
In your list of activities to do in Ibiza, journey in a ferry should surely find a place!
