Beaches
Ibiza is a small island in the Mediterranean Sea. As it is surrounded by sea on
all sides, the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the place are the
beaches. There are over 60 beaches here – the white sandy beaches, along the vast
blue sea under the clear, blue sky – isn’t it a heavenly sight? That is what Ibiza
is all about - a utopian world on the earth!
Most of the tourists are lured to this island by the attractive beaches here. It
has all kinds of beaches, from the crowded ones to some deserted ones. The most
visited ones are Playa d'en Bossa, Playa Figueretes and Playa de Talamanca which
are near the town of Ibiza. On the western front are the two beaches – Playa de
San Antonio and Es Pouet. San Jose also has many good beaches like the Playa d’es
Cavallet and Playa de Ses Salinas. Portinatx is a beach which lies at the northern
end of the island. These are only a few to name, apart from these there are a number
of hidden coves.
The specialty of these beaches is the numerous options it provides for a thrilling
entertainment. The pristine waters will tempt you to take a dip and swim around.
The water sports like beach volleyball, parasailing, rafting, water skiing, jet
skiing, catamaran sailing, pedaloing, swimming and snorkeling are for the high-spirited
people.
If you are in a mood to sit by the sea and enjoy the breeze, the sprawling beaches
welcome you. The beach side bars will provide drinks and snacks, so that you can
just sit and relax taking in all that the sea has to offer.
The beaches have a lot to offer to everyone. Whatever choice you make – whether
hire a boat and explore the sea, visit all the beaches, enjoy the action available
or just sit and enjoy the sea – you will go back refreshed and rejuvenated, ready
to take on life.
